“I think this is it.” That’s what I said when we walked into this diamond in the rough.

Most everything else we saw was an immediate NO. We knew we wanted to be a little bit out in the country, just not too far. We needed more bedrooms and better usable space. Our old house had a formal living and dining… total waste of space, we literally did not use a third of the house. Also on the wish list was an acre of land and a 3-car garage. We did have a budget and wanted to continue to live comfortably and not be house poor, so a fixer was on the radar! After about a year of searching HAR and Realtor.com and working with our real-estate agent, we found her! We had to compromise a little on the wish list, but the neighborhood was beautiful and the location was perfect!

Here are the specs currently (these will change after reno): 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living area, dining room, laundry room, 0.8 acres, corner lot, in a cul-de-sac, no back neighbors. There is also an apartment attached to the garage that’s 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, living area, kitchen, breakfast nook, and laundry room.

Construction Plans: Master suite addition, take down a LOT of walls, expand laundry room, rebuild back wall of living area, new kitchen, and reno both bathrooms. Bedrooms will just get a facelift with all new trim and paint. So yeah…. the whole house…
